1. Who We Are
Prompty is operated by Equites Digital, based in Flanders, Belgium.

2. What Data We Collect
- Account data: email address, username, and session information, provided via Clerk.
- Content: prompts, personas, tones, output formats, and constraints you create.
- Interaction data: votes, favorites, usage events (for example when a prompt is copied), and timestamps associated with your activity.
- AI suggestion learning data: when you use AI building-block suggestions while signed in, we store a numerical representation of your task (an embedding, not your text), the ids of the suggested items, and signals recording which suggestions you removed and which blocks you added. This data is capped in size, can be cleared at any time in Settings, and is deleted with your account.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and operate the service.
- Display public content to other users.
- Improve the service and develop new features.
We do NOT sell your personal data.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Clerk: authentication. Receives your email, username, and session data.
- Neon: database hosting. Stores all user content and account references.
- Vercel: application hosting, cookieless analytics, and performance monitoring. Receives standard request data (IP, user agent) and anonymized page performance metrics.
- OpenRouter: AI processing. Transiently receives prompt and task text you submit to power AI improvements, text embeddings, and building-block suggestions.
- Google ReCaptcha (may be added): bot protection. May receive IP address and browser signals.
- Paddle: payment processing for paid plans. Receives billing and payment information.
5. Public Content & Visibility
Content you mark as public (personas, tones, output formats, constraints) is visible to all users along with your username. You control whether each item is public or private. Saved prompts are private by default.
6. Content License
You retain ownership of the content you create on Prompty. By submitting content, you grant Prompty an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly display, sublicense, and use for AI/ML training — for any purpose.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete your account and data through your Settings page. Deletion is immediate. Data may persist in backups for a limited period.
AI suggestion learning data can also be cleared on its own at any time from your Settings page, without deleting your account or content.
You may also request deletion by emailing privacy@prompty.tools.
9. Children's Privacy
Prompty is not directed at users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Your Rights (EEA)
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Request erasure of your data.
- Restrict processing of your data.
- Data portability.
- Object to processing.
Our legal bases for processing are consent and legitimate interest. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
11. Your Rights (California)
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal data we collect and how it is used.
- Request deletion of personal data.
- Opt out of the sale of personal data — we do not sell your data.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
